abruptly = change or action in a very sudden (often unpleasant way)
e.g. If you start eating a lot of fiber abruptly, you could get gas and bloating.

Expressions /phrases/ sentences
crank something up = increase or improve something
'crank it up' also indicates 'let's start off' or 'try our best'
perspective on = 对... 的观点

Walk someone through / a walk through = showing people how to do something and explain
e.g. I remember when you started working here, we have to walk you through everything.

Wishy-washy = weak/vague/undefined (the way that people do things)
e.g. If you turn up without thinking about the questions you might get asked, you'll only be able to come up with wishy-washy answers.
